🤍💙🧡 The Client Magnet Most Photographers Ignore

"Confidence in pricing isn't about being the cheapest, it's about knowing your worth and standing by it."

Stop hoping. Start showing up.

Last week, I joined a discussion thread with some photographers about marketing their business.

The question was:

“How do you promote yourself as a photographer so that people book photo sessions with you? Are there any platforms you’d recommend?”

There were lots of replies, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google Ads, Yelp, Bark, Facebook Marketplace.

4 out of the 7 mentioned were social platforms.

And if you’re anything like me, you hate the constant content-creating hamster wheel…

Posting, hoping your audience sees it…

Then hoping they click your profile…

Then hoping they message you…

Then hoping they book.

That’s a lot of “hopes” just to get one client.

What really surprised me was that no one mentioned Google Business Page.

I’ve spoken before about how powerful it is when set up properly. It drives clients straight to you, no dancing reels or trending sounds needed.

I add an update to my Google Business Page every week.

It’s usually a link to a new blog post or one of my freebies.

It takes just a few minutes, but it keeps me visible in local searches.

Your Google Business Page is one of the first things you should set up.

It works for you, especially if you update it regularly with new info, offers, sessions, or images.

If yours is sitting untouched… or if you haven’t set one up yet…

I’ve written a handy freebie that walks you through it.

"You build assets you control, so drive traffic to your list, your shop, and your own portfolio first." Have you started to build some stability? Hey Reader When I first started, I thought success meant being fully booked. Week after week, I juggled shoots, editing, emails, invoices, and social posts. I was working all the time, but my business still felt fragile. One slow month and everything wobbled. It hit me that I'd build a job, not a business. The turning point came when I began...

"You make progress when you cut noise, so mute the distractions and finish the one task that pays you" I'm testing, learning & growing on Facebook. Hey Reader I had a really deep 1:1 with my business coach last week. I’ve been working with her for four years now. I never realised how valuable having a coach was until I found myself stuck, unsure what direction to take next. During our chat, we talked about social platforms. And if you’re anything like me, you probably hate the constant churn,...

"You earn more from stock when you shoot a series, so tell one story across images and upload them as a set" Benefits of creating a passive income for photographers. Hey Reader Recently, I've had a lot of life stuff pull me away from my business. Whilst it's frustrating, even though I've set things up to enable access remotely, I've still not been able to devote as much time to my business as I would like. But one thing I'm grateful for is taking the time to develop a passive income, whether...
