πŸ€πŸ’™πŸ§‘ Tired of guessing what brings in clients?

"No-one remembers perfect, they remember real. Show up as you, and your brand will connect deeper."

Are you winging it in your business?

Hey Reader

I want to talk about what actually brings in photography clients, and it's not just being good at what you do (although that helps).

It's strategy. Not guesswork. Not random social posts that you churn out and hope something sticks, and not crossing your fingers and hoping for the best.

If you want a steady stream of clients, you need a simple structure, one that focuses on three key pillars:

  1. Traffic - You need people to be able to find you. That could be through your blog, Pinterest, social media, referrals, anything that brings the right eyeballs to your content or website.
  2. Leads - Once they've found you, what happens next? This is where email marketing, lead magnets, and free guides come in. You want to turn casual visitors into people who are interested, and who stick around.
  3. Sales - Finally, how are you inviting people to book or buy? This is your offers, your services, your shop, and how clearly you're communicating the value of what you do.

Too many photographers focus only on one part, usually the sale, without giving enough attention to how people are actually getting there.

So, if things feels quiet, it's not a reflection of your talent. It's just a sign that your structure might need a little tune-up.

To get you started, ask yourself the following questions?

Where is most of my traffic coming from right now?

Do I have a way to capture leads?

Am I making it easy for people to book my or buy from me?

It only takes 5 minutes, but it'll tell you a lot.

Let me know how you get on

Nicky x

"You build assets you control, so drive traffic to your list, your shop, and your own portfolio first." Have you started to build some stability? Hey Reader When I first started, I thought success meant being fully booked. Week after week, I juggled shoots, editing, emails, invoices, and social posts. I was working all the time, but my business still felt fragile. One slow month and everything wobbled. It hit me that I'd build a job, not a business. The turning point came when I began...

"You make progress when you cut noise, so mute the distractions and finish the one task that pays you" I'm testing, learning & growing on Facebook. Hey Reader I had a really deep 1:1 with my business coach last week. I’ve been working with her for four years now. I never realised how valuable having a coach was until I found myself stuck, unsure what direction to take next. During our chat, we talked about social platforms. And if you’re anything like me, you probably hate the constant churn,...

"You earn more from stock when you shoot a series, so tell one story across images and upload them as a set" Benefits of creating a passive income for photographers. Hey Reader Recently, I've had a lot of life stuff pull me away from my business. Whilst it's frustrating, even though I've set things up to enable access remotely, I've still not been able to devote as much time to my business as I would like. But one thing I'm grateful for is taking the time to develop a passive income, whether...
