Elevate Your Pinterest Strategy + New Resources for Your Etsy Shop

Hey Reader,

Welcome back to another week of insights and tips to help you grow your photography business!

This week, we're diving back into Pinterest and focusing on something that's absolutely crucial for success on the platform: consistent branding.

The Power of Consistent Branding on Pinterest

When it comes to Pinterest, your branding needs to be instantly recognisable. That's why I've put a lot of effort into creating a cohesive look across all my Pins. I use a series of around 20 templates that I've carefully designed in Canva, each one carrying my brand's colours and fonts. These templates aren't static, though - I constantly repurpose and re-design them to keep things fresh while maintaining that consistent brand identity.

You can see from the screenshot above, each one is uniquely different which is what Pinterest likes, but they all carry the same brand look. I duplicate a design and re-design for the new Pin. I add a comment to each Pin of when the Pin was posted and it's all catalogued in a google spreadsheet.

But it's not just about looks. I'm also strategic with the text overlay on each Pin, making sure it includes long-tail keywords that I replicate within the Pin description. This approach not only strengthens my branding but also boosts my Pins' visibility in search results. If you haven't already, I highly recommend setting up your own branding templates to streamline your Pinterest process and keep your brand strong and consistent.

By being meticulous about my Pinterest strategy (as you can see in the Google spreadsheet above), the consistent branding and keeping a record of my Pins, I can easily make sure I'm posting to varying platforms, my blog, Etsy shop, landing page & website. Since having good Pinterest strategy, I can see that the majority of traffic come to my Blog comes from Pinterest; my outbound clicks have gone up 86%, engagements are up 121% & my saves a whooping 325%.

New Pinterest Board.

"No-one remembers perfect, they remember real. Show up as you, and your brand will connect deeper." Are you winging it in your business? Hey Reader I want to talk about what actually brings in photography clients, and it's not just being good at what you do (although that helps). It's strategy. Not guesswork. Not random social posts that you churn out and hope something sticks, and not crossing your fingers and hoping for the best. If you want a steady stream of clients, you need a simple...
